I just got an email from my current teacher and had to share, I hope you don't mind...

"SE 571 (Principles of Information Security and Privacy) - - Interim Assessment - - Dr. K
As we are in Week 6, I wanted to send you a personal e-mail on your performance. I like to talk to all my students verbally, but that is sometimes not possible as I miss you or you miss me. So please accept this as a substitute if we do not talk.  I try hard to make sure you know how/where you stand and to provide timely comments to help you improve all along the course. As an aside, I did develop parts of this course (not the quiz or midterm) and hope you liked it and are enjoying it.  It is important you be prepared in the real world and this is the perspectives I have attempted to convey. Any comments to the positive on what you liked or what was too challenging are much appreciated.

Now back to you.  Thru week 5, you have earned 404  points out of a possible 430 points - 94%- excellent! 

As you know, all you have to do is click on any weekly grade and see my comments in full.   My overall assessment is that you are doing very well.   Your project looks like it is coming along nicely.  I have posted examples in Doc Share and given you much guidance. Please feel free to email me for any more comments you may need.  I believe you are working at a level where you should earn a very good grade in this course -- in fact an "A".  So keep it up especially your efforts in the discussions. Also, I am about to post a guide to help you study for the Final.  Your success is my success!  It is a pleasure to have you in class and your efforts make my job easier and enjoyable! This is my second to last class with only 2-1/2 weeks left in it.  My last class starts Oct 26th and I'll be done by Dec 18th.

His last sentance really made my day!  "You are one of my best students."

 

 

Wow, time really flies.  Hard to believe my daughter will be  15 this June.  Seems just yesterday she was a little baby holding my finger in her little tiny hand.  In 3-1/2 years she will be heading off to college.  hmmmm

 

We went dress shopping for her turn about dance this coming Saturday and she looked so grown up in the dress she picked.  She is going to knock the socks off of all the boys there. 

 

 

Lately my passion has been diminishing...  I thought it was only the sexual kind but I have been doing alot of thinking lately and it looks like I have lost passion in other areas of my life.  Like with work, I really have no desire to work hard like I use to.  I don't really care how my job affects my company like I use to.  I really don't have much pride in my work either.  I am working really hard for my Master's degree but even that has started to lose interest.  Maybe I'm just burnt out?  I don't want to be in a relationship anymore - to much work I guess.  I'm tired.  Even taking a week off work didn't help.  Maybe running around for so many years has finally caught up to me and I'm just burnt out of life.  I don't know where I'm headed anymore.  I just don't know... 

WooHoo!  I am getting an A in  my class!  I got 200 out of 200 on my final project and I got 250 out of 250 on my final test!  I'm soooo happy! 

Well, I have decided to move in with him.  The big issue now is to figure out when I can get my bed over there for my daughter to use.  hmmm   Maybe I should wait till after he goes to visit his brother since I was planning on staying at my parents place that week or so to go through some stuff in the garage.  Then move the bed over...

Anyways...  I'm happy about the decision and glad that part is over
